In the last year and a half, the CTA (Caio Terra Association) team has been slowly climbing through the ranks, placing at every tournament and making their mark in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community here in Arizona.
Hard work, dedication and team work was the theme heading into the 2015 World Jiu Jitsu Championships. The team came prepared (huge thanks to Professor Comprido for running camp) and when it was over, no matter their individual outcomes, they never stopped working! The very next day most of the CTA athletes were back in the gym preparing for the next challenge. That challenge came in the form of the 2015 All Star tournament held in Santa Cruz, California.
A question that I am frequently asked about my association is “what are you about” and “what is that you’re looking for” in an affiliate. It’s simple. We want like-minded individuals. Those that believe in more than just the bottom line. Do you see your academy as more than a paycheck? If so this maybe the association for you.
The Modern Jiu Jitsu Academy located in Repentigny, Quebec, Canada, is home to Caio Terra Brown Belt Patrick Boudin. Patrick is an avid competitor, and an even better coach! When he opened his academy he had a lot of choices but after talking it over with his students and assistant instructors decided that the Caio Terra Academy was the best fit for him.
CTA Alexandria, was founded by Instructor and life long martial artist Vu Tran. Originally out of the federal trade mark office, in 2014 Vu expanded the program and opened it to the public! Vu has trained with some of the best in the world, and regularly visits professor Caio Terra in San Jose
Ultimate Combat Training Center is Utah’s oldest MMA training facility. Opening its doors in 1985, UCTC has produced many Utah State champions, and world class athletes.
Founder and head instructor Mike Stidham has been training and teaching martial arts for over 30 years! In addition to being an instructor, Mike was the winner of the International Police Olympic Games and has won a multitude of titles in many different styles of martial arts!
Collin Grayson, founder of CTA Rockwall wand CTA Irvin is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Professor Caio Terra. Collin has been competing and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over a decade and is one of the most experienced instructors in our association. With two gyms, his primary gym in Rockwall, Texas with evening classes for men, women and children of all ages, and one in Irving that offers morning and afternoon classes, Collin is very busy!
