With less than 3 weeks notice, 2 time ADCC Champion Yuri Simoes came in as last minute replacement for UFC Champion Fabricio Werdum in the EBI Absolute combat Jiu Jitsu tournament.
He was instantly the favorite and he clearly showed why! After a hard first match with Stephen Martinez, Yuri turned it up in the final by submitting John “Thor” Blank and was crowned the 2019 EBI Absolute weight champion!
