In early 2023, friends and fellow black belts Ryan Short and Hiroki "Mike" Taniguchi started United Team Maui. Their goal was to create a positive culture where people felt welcomed, and the environment was conducive to learning. Mike and Ryan have trained for over a decade and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their community.
Having visited Mad Tiger Academy and Trxtr Studios on Oahu, Mike was drawn to CTA. After him and Ryan flew up for the annual association camp, their mind was set, and in May 2023, they became members of the CTA Ohana.
